Those lucky few invited to participate in Star Wars Battlefront II‘s ongoing closed alpha may be under a strict NDA agreement, but that clearly hasn’t stopped some users from having a dig within the game’s files. Indeed, besides revealing more details in regards to the sequel’s revamped Card System and microtransactions, the latest expedition into Battlefront II‘s guts has unearthed a list of playable heroes and villains for the title, some of which are currently unannounced.
As per Reddit user uninspired_zebra, files for several already confirmed characters, including Boba Fett, Han Solo, Rey and Darth Maul, as well as their corresponding powers and abilities, have been discovered through data mining of the shooter’s alpha build, but that’s largely where the familiarity ends.
Luke, Leia, Bossk, Vader, Palpatine, Lando and Chewbacca are all set to return for Battlefront II, it seems, with some new blood being thrown in for good measure. Yoda, Captain Phasma and memorable prequel-era villain General Grievous are the new arrivals so far revealed in the leak, but whether or not this represents the final release roster remains to be seen. It should be noted, after all, that John Boyega’s Finn is missing, despite having been confirmed, alongside Phasma, to be a future DLC character.
You can check out the full list for yourselves below, which, interestingly, also includes Iden Verso, the primary protagonist of Battlefront II‘s campaign mode.
