Having only released for those who pre-ordered the shooter on December 1, DICE has rolled out the maiden patch forĀ Battle of Jakku, targeting balancing issues, UI improvements and general stability issues.
Clocking in at a meagre 300MB in size, the latest Star Wars Battlefront update is by no means taxing, but it does improve the gameplay experience found within the title’s brandĀ sun-scorched arenas. The tweaks and fixes mentioned are as follows:
- General bug fixes for vehicles and physics improvements.
- Game modes balancing tweaks.
- HUD UI adjustments.
- Audio optimizations.
- General crash and stability fixes.
- Online traffic performance improvements.
- Various text fixes for all languages.
- General bug fixes for both Missions and Multiplayer.
Set across the same desert planet that Rey (Daisy Ridley) calls home in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Battle of Jakku is designed a pseudo-prequel, charting the galaxy-shaking tussle between the Rebel Alliance and the Empire 29 years before the events of J.J. Abrams’ soon-to-be-released film.
Star Wars Battlefront is available now across PS4, Xbox One and PC – and despite what early figures suggested, EA has allayed fears that the game was a commercial flop. Battle of Jakku, on the other hand, will be available as a free download
