Gamers will have to hold off on killing the Justice League given that the release of the game Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has been pushed back yet again. The game, which was due to be released on May 26, has now been pushed back almost a whole year whilst Rocksteady Studios polishes it up.

The delay was announced on Twitter earlier and is not the first delay this game has faced. The initial release window was back in 2022, so a pushback of another whole year is quite a significant one. The official statement posted on the game’s Twitter page read, “We have made the tough but necessary decision to take the time needed to work on getting the game to be the best quality experience for players.”

It is likely due to the fact that the game’s most in-depth look, a PlayStation State of Play in February, was met with some negative reviews as gamers stated they had issues with certain functions such as the always-online requirement, and the battle pass system. However, it would seem that rather than fixing these issues, Rocksteady is using this extra time to simply polish the game up rather than fix the issues fans raised from the PlayStation State of Play.

There was a mixed response to the news on Twitter with many writing “Take your time, we will wait” while others said that if they have to wait this long and the issues addressed above still aren’t fixed, then what’s the point in waiting? The game’s new release date is now Feb. 2, 2024, quite the delay from its original 2022 release date.
