Not to be outdone by Microsoft’s unveiling of March’s Games With Gold lineup, Sony has today revealed the six titles headed to the Instant Game Collection on Tuesday, March 7th in North America and Europe.
As part of the monthly refresh, PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to download Media Molecule’s Tearaway Unfolded and Disc Jam on PlayStation 4, while Vita owners will get the chance to nab Severed, DrinkBox Studios’ first-person dungeon crawler lauded with praise for its tight controls and morbid, yet compelling story. Rounding out the roster of freebies are Under Night: In-Birth and Earth Defense Force 2025 on PlayStation 3 and, finally, Lumo, which can be played via PS4 and Vita as part of Sony’s Cross-Buy incentive.
Tearaway Unfolded is arguably the marquee addition to the PlayStation Plus IGC. A remaster of the original Vita exclusive, Media Molecule’s PS4 adventure game is a delight for the eyes and ears, and the studio’s ingenuity was recognized with a prestigious BAFTA award back at launch. Curious to see what all the fuss is about? For those in North America, Sony is currently running a promotion that bundles together three free months of PS Plus with the standard 12-month subscription package.
Last and certainly not least, as March’s lineup won’t go live until Tuesday, there’s still plenty of time for subscribers to add February’s PS Plus games to their respective download lists. Among those titles currently lining the Instant Game Collection are Starwhal, TorqueL, LittleBigPlanet 3 and Roll 7’s gleefully over-the-top shooter Not a Hero.
