Telltale Games’ has announced that the downloadable content for the first season of The Walking Dead, The Walking Dead: 400 Days, will launch sometime in July for $5 on PSN, XBLA, PC, Mac and iOS. The PS Vita version, which was announced at E3 2013, will arrive on Sony’s handheld in August and come bundled with the entire first season of last year’s hit game.
Even though the game is DLC for the first season, The Walking Dead: 400 Days will run as a stand alone experience for those who did not play Telltale’s first game in the series. With that said, choices made by players in last year’s game will carry over into 400 Days (and decisions made in 400 Days will have be seen in the second season), so the best bet is to play the DLC on the same platform that you played season one on.
As for the content in The Walking Dead: 400 Days, the DLC consists of a single episode with five separate stories that revolve around a truck stop. This location is said to be geographically close to some of the events that took place in the first season, making it easy to incorporate prior decisions into the narrative.
We will keep an eye out for an exact release date for The Walking Dead: 400 Days, and let you know as soon as Telltale Games makes the announcement.
