Telltale Games has confirmed that the first episode of Tales from the Borderlands will be available today on select platforms in North America, before popping up on other systems over the next week.
Specifically, the maiden episode — aptly titled Zer0 Sum — is currently ready to download on PC via Steam, as well as on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 (once Sony update the PS Store for Tuesday, that is). The first slice of Tales from the Borderlands will then be available on Xbox One tomorrow, November 26, followed by a release on Xbox 360 one week later on December 3rd — the same date the adventure launches in Europe, in fact.
In order to entice players to venture back to Pandora once more, Telltale released the following plot synopsis:
“Thrown together as unwilling partners in an adventure to recover cash they both think is theirs, their journey will take you on a wild ride where gangsters, bandit lords, and Vault Hunters are just some of the obstacles you’ll encounter.”
Zer0 Sum is to be the first of five instalments in the episodic series — unlike the studio’s rendition of Westeros, which is to span six in total — and it’s likely that each will be released intermittently over the coming months. For those in North America, each episode will be priced at $4.99, though as always, Telltale Games has opened up the season pass option which provides players with a little discount for buying in bulk.
