Trials Fusion Launches April 16

Fans of the Trials series take note, as Ubisoft has just announced that Trials Fusion will be released on April 16 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Windows PC through Steam. This will mark the first time that a Trials game has been released on a PlayStation console, as previous games in the series had been published by Microsoft. This changed though when Ubisoft purchased developer RedLynx, and now everyone will be able to share in some sweet Trials action.

That actually brings up an interesting point, as sharing is what Trials is all about.  Perhaps the greatest thing about Trials Evolution — the previous game in the series — was the amazing track editor that allowed users to create and share almost anything they could imagine.  But how will that work with Trials Fusion being available across four different platforms?  Will each have their own user levels, or will RedLynx make all user-made Trials Fusion content available across all platforms?

However the content share system will work, you can look forward to it returning in Trials Fusion, along with a brand new trick system that should provide an interesting twist to the already addictive gameplay formula.  When combined with the existing challenges of getting to the finish line as quickly as possible, and doing so while remaining in once piece, it should make for a fun time.

Trials Fusion will be available as a digital download for $19.99. Alternatively, there will also be a physical edition – that will include the DLC Season Pass – available for $39.99. According to the press release, that Season Pass will include six DLC packs that will be released between the game’s launch and April 2015. Each DLC pack will include new tracks, bike parts, rider gear and “new items for the ever-expanding world of Trials Fusion,” which I think translates to new track editor parts.

In addition to all the other Trials Fusion news that Ubisoft has given us today, they’ve also released a new trailer for the game, which you can see below. Check it out and let us know what you think!
