You may have finished Dying Light and maxed out your character’s skills, with the thought that you’d made him into the ultimate badass. However, while that’s true as far as the base game goes, Dying Light: Enhanced Edition and its free update for the vanilla game will change things up and give you many more upgrades to enjoy.
Referred to as “The Legendary Levels,” Dying Light‘s continued character evolution will add 250 level-based upgrades into the mix. Coming into play once you’ve maxed out specific stats, they’ll allow players to further enhance their characters and unlock bonuses (outfits and emblems) for doing so. In fact, every twenty-five Legendary Levels earned will net players a gift or two.
“We listen closely to our community and hear many voices ofpeople who did every single thing in Dying Light wanting more. Legendary Levels are one of the ways how we’re making the post-game content more meaty – explains Maciej Binkowski, lead game designer. – We’re adding 250 additional levels, so you can keep on developing your character while unlocking new weapons, outfits, emblems, and skills. It means massive replayability.”
Dying Light‘s Enhanced Edition will hit retail and digital services on February 9th, and its updates will be made available as a free download for those who’ve already purchased the base game. Alongside this release, Techland will unleash the zombie-infused title’s large-scale expansion, Dying Light: The Following, which can be purchased at retail (with the Enhanced Edition), separately through digital means, or as part of the game’s Season Pass.
