For what feels like forever, gamers across the globe have been waiting to hear a release date for No Man’s Sky, and its finally got one. Starting June 21 for North America, the universe-spanning adventure title will be available on PlayStation 4 and PC for $59.99. The UK (and presumably the rest of Europe) will see the game release three days later on June 24.
Along with long-awaited good news, Hello Games have also announced two rather special editions of the title. One for PS4, the other for PC. The PC Explorer’s Edition (below) comes with a hand-painted model of one of the ships available in the game, as well as a display case, a digital game code and decals. The special edition is limited to 10,000 units and will set you back a cool $149.99.
The equally plush PlayStation 4 Limited Edition comes with premium packaging, a comic, art book, dynamic PS4 theme and a steelbook case. Fancy. There’s been no word on price for this one just yet.
No Man’s Sky is a survival and adventure game in equal parts, and enables players to carve out their own journey through its vast, undiscovered universe. Hello Games says that players will be able to interact with each other, but due to the size of its universe, you’re unlikely to run into others regularly, if at all.
