Microsoft announced today at their E3 2013 press conference that the next generation Xbox One will launch in November 2013 for $499 US, €499 in Europe, and £429 in the UK.

The Xbox One will be released as a single SKU in 21 markets when it launches, with Microsoft’s Phil Spencer adding that a “day-one edition” can be pre-ordered now. An exact release date for the console was not confirmed during the E3 2013 press conference.

For reference, Microsoft launched the Xbox 360 in 2005 in two different models; a 20GB console for $399, and a “Core” model for $299.

We will update this post with additional launch details about the Xbox One console as they are announced.

[Update 1] Amazon has listed an unconfirmed release date of November 30, 2013 on their Xbox One pre-order page.

[Update 2] Microsoft has announced that every Xbox One console will include a 500GB hard drive, Blu-ray player, built-in Wi-Fi, the new Kinect, one wireless controller, and a free 14-day trial of Xbox Live Gold.
