Gamers who purchase the Xbox One version of Trials Fusion – which is set to become available starting tomorrow – will be greeted by a patch upon booting up the challenging motorbike title. The update is said to increase its resolution from 800p to 900p, while still maintaining the game’s 60 frames-per-second frame rate.
With this news, Ubisoft has unintentionally added extra fuel to the resolution-based arguments that have engulfed the industry’s next-gen fanboy population since November, when both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One launched. That’s because it’s already been confirmed that the PlayStation 4 version of Fusion – the first game in the series to grace a non-Microsoft console – runs at 1080p, with a smooth, 60 frames-per-second frame rate. Those visual/performance statistics make it the definitive console version of the game.
Make sure to check back tomorrow, as that’s when our incredibly thorough review of Trials Fusion will go live.
