As the hit trading card game prepares to celebrate its twentieth year in 2016, Konami Digital Entertainment has confirmed that a number of Yu Gi Oh! video games are on the horizon. Konami announced the plans to release titles across multiple platforms as they seek to further enhance the popularity of the game for fans all over the world.
A rough release schedule has been set out for these new games, with something new set to arrive in the second, third and fourth quarters of this year. First up in Spring will be a new mobile game, titled Yu Gi Oh! Duel Links, while a currently unnamed 3DS title will be scheduled for release sometime late in the Summer.
The final Yu Gi Oh! game of this milestone year will be a brand new online duelling title, which will be made available across consoles and for the PC. At some point in the year the existing games Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist and Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Generation will both also receive receive major content updates.
It seems that 2016 is set to be a huge year for Yu Gi Oh! fans, and there’s no doubt that the popularity of titles like Hearthstone has played a huge part in convincing Konami to take their popular card game head first into the video gaming world in 2016.
