8) Mel Gibson
Deadpool may have joked about casting Mel Gibson in the movie’s after-credits scene, but the controversial actor would actually be a pretty good choice for the role of Cable if you think about it.
In recent years, Gibson has been trying to repair his image with appearances in various action movies, though it’s teaming up with the Merc with the Mouth which would perhaps be most beneficial to him. Not to mention, the thought of him verbally sparring with Reynolds is definitely appealing.
[zergpaid]He also without a doubt has the right look for the character, and Gibson’s history with franchises like Mad Max and The Expendables prove that he’s more than capable of kicking ass in a convincing manner on the big screen.
It’s unlikely that the studio would take a risk like this in the casting, but we certainly wouldn’t be opposed to seeing it happen.
