10 Actors Who Could Play Cable In The Deadpool Sequel

Those involved with the Deadpool movie have been teasing an appearance from Cable for a while now, but the Merc with a Mouth himself confirmed that the fan-favourite character will be making an appearance in the sequel during his after-credits scene (where he also hilariously mentioned Dolph Lundgren and Keira Knightley as possible candidates to play the role).

Of all the actors listed here, True Detective star Woody Harrelson has perhaps the best chance of getting a call from Fox. After all, he’s shown off some serious dramatic chops in recent years and his profile has increased greatly after starring in The Hunger Games movies.

Throw in the fact that he was in Zombieland (written by Deadpool scribes Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick), and he has to be in with a good chance of landing the role. Also, the fact that he could easily switch between being very serious and playing for laughs is a definite advantage. Just give him a wig and he’ll look perfect!
