10 Actors Who Could Play Cable In The Deadpool Sequel

Those involved with the Deadpool movie have been teasing an appearance from Cable for a while now, but the Merc with a Mouth himself confirmed that the fan-favourite character will be making an appearance in the sequel during his after-credits scene (where he also hilariously mentioned Dolph Lundgren and Keira Knightley as possible candidates to play the role).

Kurt Russell is a fantastic actor who has made one hell of a mark in recent years in the likes of Fast 7, Bone Tomahawk, and The Hateful Eight. It’s both a blessing and a curse then that it looks like he’ll end up playing Star-Lord’s father in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, because he would certainly make an awesome Cable.

The gruff persona we’ve seen from him in movies such as the ones listed above fit the character to a tee, and just like it was fun to watch Reynolds bounce off Jeff Bridges in R.I.P.D., so too would it be a great laugh for him to get together with the Merc with a Mouth as Cable in this sequel. If his MCU appearance is just a one time thing, here’s hoping Fox make it happen.
