Disney are enjoying something of a second renaissance period right now as, with big properties like Marvel and Star Wars in their pocket, they have a guaranteed bunch of hits lined up. Another venture that seems to be a permanent winner for them though is the stream of remakes of old classics that they’re producing.
In the last few years, we’ve had Alice in Wonderland, Maleficent, Cinderella and The Jungle Book. And, before the decade is out we will likely see Pete’s Dragon, Beauty and the Beast, Dumbo and Genies as well. That’s not to mention how much more sequel-happy they seem to be lately – with Wreck-It-Ralph 2 and Frozen 2 arriving soon, among several others.
[zergpaid]But does the world actually need these revamps and follow-ups of movies that were perfectly good to start with? That’s still up for debate, but in the meantime here are ten movies that we would argue really are in need of a reboot or sequel.
