8) Damage Control
Now we’re getting into the nitty-gritty of the film’s plot, as the trailer moves into an examination of Spidey’s nemesis, Adrian Toomes AKA Vulture. Before we get to that, though, one brief shot reveals a term that will mean a lot to Marvel fans.
A TV is seen displaying some breaking news that involves Tony Stark and something called ‘Damage Control.’ Anyone who knows their comics will recognize Damage Control as the construction firm who clear up and rebuild New York after the Avengers’ routine battles.
Previously, Marvel were developing a comedy series around the company but the project stalled for unknown reasons. Now, it’s obvious that Marvel held back on the series because of Damage Control’s role in Spider-Man: Homecoming. The show will now likely get its skates on in the wake of the movie’s release.
