John Krasinski’s horror sequel A Quiet Place Part II held a glitzy world premiere in New York City in March 2020, but wouldn’t hit theaters for another fourteen months after the Coronavirus pandemic came along. Still, that didn’t stop it from going down as one of the biggest hits of the entire COVID-19 era when it did finally arrive, with the second installment pulling in some hugely impressive numbers.
Up until Fast & Furious 9 and Black Widow came along, A Quiet Place Part II was smashing pandemic box office records left, right and center, and has now gone on to earn in excess of $280 million globally, a phenomenally impressive return given the restrictions still in place. However, it’s now available on digital and VOD from today, as well as streaming on Paramount+ after the 45-day exclusive theatrical window recently closed.
There’s an additional thirteen titles available for your perusal that covers the typical genre gamut of B-level horror, thriller, action and drama, and you can check out the entire list below.
- A Quiet Place Part II
- Chasing Waterfalls
- Separation
- The Sleepless Unrest
- Held
- The Loneliest Whale: The Search for 52
- Holler
- How To Delete A Robber
- Downeast
- Great White
- Die In a Gun Fight
- Out of Death
- There Is No Evil
- A Father’s Legacy
Chasing Waterfalls sadly isn’t about the TLC song of the same name, but rather a romance between a photographer and a handsome tour guide, while low budget Australian effort Great White swims in to deliver the latest in the never-ending production line of shark attack thrillers, which is usually a subgenre that can be relied on to deliver at least a little bit of entertainment.
All told, it’s hardly the most stacked week for VOD additions that we’ve ever seen, but there might well be a title capable of scratching any itch you may have, even if the majority of eyeballs will be focused on A Quiet Place Part II, which ironically doesn’t play anywhere near as well on a home cinema system as it does on the big screen.
