Given that the theatrical run of Avengers: Infinity War is drawing to close – after all, it’ll be hitting home video in roughly a month (August 14th) from now, and your preferred digital platform in a little over two weeks’ time (July 31st) – I suppose now’s as good a time as any to let you know that The Avengers and Age of Ultron will be accompanying the $2 billion-plus ticket booth titan to 4K Ultra HD.
Granted, last month we reported that Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and Ultron (James Spader) would be joining Thanos (Josh Brolin) in waging war against your wallet, but now we have actual cover art to prove it, which you can check out in the gallery down below.
That’s right; Best Buy will release matching steelbook packaging for The Avengers and Age of Ultron for their 4K Ultra HD debut on August 14th, which will also include a Blu-ray and a digital copy of each movie. The electronics retailer will also be offering an exclusive Infinity War steelbook, featuring the Mad Titan on the cover wielding the Infinity Gauntlet complete with the Infinity Stones, but you probably already knew that.
You can now pre-order all three films for $34.99 each, but you’ll want to act fast to secure your copy, or copies, as they tend to vanish in a hurry. If steelbook isn’t your cup of tea, each one will also be available in standard packaging for $29.99 each.
And, as it just so happens, an advertisement showcasing the glorious outer packaging of Infinity War on 4K Ultra HD made its way online last week, should you choose to go that route. Unfortunately, however, the box art for the standard packaging of The Avengers and Age of Ultron is still being kept under wraps, though as soon as we have it, we’ll be sure to let you know.
