The Wolverine
The Wolverine is one of the best comic book characters around. If you want to debate that, then we’re going to have some serious problems here.
Now, X-Men: Origins may not have been the quality film that fans were hoping for from the character, but that doesn’t change the fact that Wolvie still has the potential for an epic solo movie. With the claws in James Mangold’s hands, the character can get the movie he deserves in The Wolverine.
Samurai steel clashing with adamantium claws and Wolverine facing questions of his own immortality, those two things are very different from what we’ve seen so far in the X-Men films. The fact this movie is clearly set apart from the rest of the X-Men universe, and the fact that Jackman is comfortable admitting the flaws with Origins, should definitely help this movie far exceed what we’ve seen so far from the character.
The trailers we’ve been shown so far look awesome, and as much as I enjoyed Man Of Steel, I’ve been more excited for this superhero movie from the start. Jackman has shown in movie after movie that he’s just about perfect as Logan. Now it’s time for him to have a script that doesn’t cripple his performance (and ruin Deadpool).
