Breaking Bad’s Bryan Cranston is in hot demand right now, from both Hollywood casting directors and fans, who keep calling for him to be cast in just about any role going (us included). A common character he is often paired with in fancasts is Norman Osborn. An obvious suggestion it might be, then, but there is no doubting that Cranston would be terrific as the arch-villain.
Perhaps what has really got fans behind this casting idea is that Cranston has previously been open about his ambition of playing a Marvel villain, though with some caveats.
“You know what I’d like to do? I’d like to do some big superhero villain in some Marvel classic,” said Cranston in 2015. However, he also said he wanted to play one “create[d]… from scratch.”
