8 Alternate Versions Of Spider-Man We Need To See On The Big Screen

Last year, Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures made history when they reached a deal which will see Spider-Man become part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Played by Tom Holland, the new Peter Parker will first show up in Captain America: Civil War before starring in a solo outing next year from director Jon Watts. As of right now, we still haven't seen so much as a single official image of the new Spider-Man, but the future still looks bright for the iconic superhero.

Spider-Man 2099

We’re still pretty far away from the year 2099, but Marvel and Sony really should be thinking about capitalizing on the potential this character has sooner rather than later.

Miguel O’Hara isn’t related to Peter Parker in any way, and was actually the head of the genetics department for the Alchemax Corporation in his time. He gained his powers after experimenting on himself, and as well as having all of the regular Spidey’s abilities, he also has organic webbing, fangs and talons.

With a unique rogues gallery, Marvel could easily set a movie around this Spider-Man’s adventures in the year 2099, but Miguel has travelled back in time on many different occasions, so the potential for a really unique story featuring both versions of the hero is definitely there.

It really just boils down to whether or not time travel is going to find its way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but if it does, this is one team-up which definitely needs to swing onto the big screen.
