1) No Superman
It may sound almost like a contradiction, but one of the best things about this trailer is what we don’t see in it. I’m obviously referring to Superman because while we all know he’ll return after being killed by Doomsday (he’s standing front and centre in that group shot for God’s sake), the fact that Warner Bros. is keeping the method of his resurrection under wraps is smart.
This is something fans should spend the next year talking about, and it absolutely shouldn’t have been addressed in this trailer or any future ones. It’s inevitable that one of them will probably at one point show the Man of Steel standing alongside the rest of the heroes, but the lack of Superman in this first preview has only helped to heighten expectations and excitement for his revival.
