In typical Marvel fashion, Avengers: Age of Ultron paid tribute to decades’ worth of comic book storylines in the form of Easter eggs peppered throughout the film. While some are easy to spot – like the requisite Stan Lee cameo – others are buried so deep that only the most diehard of fans could catch them.
No matter what camp you’re in, you can now enjoy the cleverness of Joss Whedon and bask in the geekiness of the hidden gems thanks to a new video from Mr. Sunday Movies. Comprehensive and informative, it breaks down all (or at least most) of the easter eggs found in Age of Ultron, while shedding some light on the various seeds Whedon planted inside the blockbuster that will help set up future MCU installments, like Captain America: Civil War, Thor: Ragnarok and, of course, both Avengers: Infinity War installments.
[zerg]We’ve already detailed what some of those storylines could mean for the future of the MCU, like how Andy Serkis’ character will likely come back for the Black Panther solo film, but the video points out a number of other interesting things and it’s definitely worth a watch if you count yourself as a Marvel fan.
Directed by Joss Whedon, Avengers: Age of Ultron is now playing in theaters across the globe (and breaking box office records).
