Looks like director Zack Snyder has finally found his Lois Lane. With casting starting to come together for his Superman reboot, Lois Lane was one of the key roles that still hadn’t been filled. Today though we have reports from Hero Complex that actress Amy Adams will play the part. Adams, a three time Oscar nominee, apparently received the call from Snyder today, confirming that she got the job. Snyder told Hero Complex that “there was a big, giant search for Lois. For us it was a big thing and obviously a really important role. We did a lot of auditioning but we had this meeting with Amy Adams and after that I just felt she was perfect for it.”
Adams will join a cast that includes Henry Cavill, Kevin Costner and Diane Lane. Not a bad cast if you ask me. But with Snyder’s recent bomb (Sucker Punch), I’m having second thoughts on this one. Maybe Sucker Punch was just a one time thing, but what if it wasn’t? Hopefully Superman turns out a lot better. Adams joining the cast definitely strengthens the film and I’m happy to see her in the role. She’s given a number of great performances lately and she really is a great actress. Now the only question that remains is who will play the villain?
