With Vision off doing paperwork, Mark Ruffalo has shared yet another photo from the set of Avengers 4, this time featuring Black Widow and Iron Man.
Framed in the style of a family portrait, the image below finds three of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in the civvies, though without any firm details to go on, there’s a small chance this status report is actually a throwback to Ruffalo’s time spent filming Avengers: Infinity War. Production on Joe and Anthony Russo’s super-sized blockbuster wrapped just prior to San Diego Comic-Con – hence the unveiling of that teaser trailer – and we understand both directors are already hard at work on the untitled sequel.
Much like Ant-Man and the Wasp before it, filming on Avengers 4 is currently taking place in the city of Atlanta, and onlookers have already captured shots of the Russo Brothers orchestrating a scene involving Black Widow and the Yakuza. Exactly how that filters into the story of Avengers 4 remains to be seen, but at least for now, this latest set pic finds its way to us via an official source: Mark Ruffalo’s personal Instagram feed.
Take a look at it in the gallery below along with a few previously released snaps and let us know what you think.
You know them, of course; they’re three of the most-liked Phase One Avengers, and they’ll be back in 2018 to wage war against Thanos – an Infinity War, to be specific. If nothing else, this candid, behind-the-scenes still offers a glimpse at the camaraderie between Mark Ruffalo and his co-stars – Scarlett Johansson (Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow) and Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark/Iron Man), in this case.
Once Thor: Ragnarok brings the curtain down on the studio’s 2017 offerings on November 3rd, Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther solo movie will introduce fans to Wakadan royalty on February 16th, before Joe and Anthony Russo wage Avengers: Infinity War on May 4th, 2018. And after that? The untitled Avengers 4, which is currently slated for release on May 3rd, 2019.
