Though filming wrapped on Three From Hell as far back as April of last year, director Rob Zombie has continued to find new details to tease in the months since, and in a recent social media post, the filmmaker confirmed one more Devil’s Rejects cast member who’s coming back into the fold.
Jossara Jinaro may not have been given a whole lot of screen time in the 2005 effort, but fans will almost certainly remember her standout scene. The actress played a maid named Maria, who was doing housekeeping at the Kahiki Palms Motel. After wandering into one of the rooms, she discovers Wendy Banjo with the skin mask of her husband’s face attached to her own.
Misunderstanding the situation, Maria runs away in terror, while Wendy pursues her in a creepy and hilarious homage to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. As one of the few survivors of The Devil’s Rejects, you have to wonder if Maria might serve as a witness while the titular trio of Three From Hell stand trial.
In any case, Zombie has taken to Instagram to share an image of himself alongside Jinaro and her fellow cast members Bill Moseley and Sheri Moon Zombie. Jinaro herself, meanwhile, has also shared a pair images, along with the following message:
“Living in a spellbinding world again created by [Rob Zombie] with the deliciously haunting [Sheri Moon Zombie] & the evil you love to hate from [Bill Moseley] makes me feel special all over”
Jinaro, Moseley and Moon are three of several cast members from The Devil’s Rejects who are set to feature in the sequel, with Sid Haig, Danny Trejo and Daniel Roebuck also reprising their respective roles from the cult horror film.
You can expect Zombie’s Instagram to be a continued source of Three From Hell info in the coming months, but sooner or later, the director is going to have to announce a release date, and once he does, we’ll be sure to let you know.
