Ant-Man And The Wasp Is Now Streaming On Netflix

Though Ant-Man and the Wasp had a perfectly respectable run in cinemas, Peyton Reed’s latest film was hardly the box office juggernaut that Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War were before it. We can therefore assume that there are a lot of people out there who checked out the MCU’s other 2018 releases but decided to give the Ant-Man sequel a miss, in which case, they may want to do a little homework in preparation for Marvel’s 2019 slate.

In fact, if you feel you could do with a catch-up on Scott Lang and Hope van Dyne’s latest outing, Netflix has now added Ant-Man and the Wasp to their catalog. With the exception of Captain Marvel, the film is thought to be the last MCU film to be added to the platform before Marvel Studios finds a new home on the upcoming streaming service Disney Plus.

Though Reed’s film is often regarded as one of the less important entries in the overarching Marvel narrative, the pic may still tease some key developments for the MCU’s future, not least with its scenes in the Quantum Realm. Indeed, actor Michael Douglas let it slip in an interview last year that this mysterious place will prove “integral” in the upcoming Avengers: Endgame.

Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige has even hinted in the past that the Quantum Realm may have more stories to tell beyond the Avengers: Infinity War sequel, adding fuel to the theories of fans who’ve obsessively searched the frames of Ant-Man and the Wasp for clues. Only time will tell how significant the film will prove in the grander scheme of the MCU, though if the mid-credits scene of Reed’s flick is anything to go by, then you can expect Scott Lang’s last adventure to factor heavily into his role in Avengers: Endgame, which is headed for theaters on April 26th, 2019.
