When a character such as Batman has not only appeared on screen since 1943 but has also been continually recast over time, it’s only understandable that moviegoers forge attachments to specific actors to have played the icon. Despite having appeared in a campy TV show, many still stand by Adam West because his iteration boasted such conviction and embodied many qualities synonymous with the Caped Crusader. Likewise, there are those of you reading this who can no doubt make compelling cases for the likes of Michael Keaton, Kevin Conroy and Christian Bale, among others.
Of course, if you’ve had the privilege of sharing the screen with anyone to have worn the cowl, you may have somewhat of a bias. Well, at least that’s what you’d think, but Jason Momoa didn’t choose the Dark Knight we’d have thought when it came to naming whom he thinks is the best of the lot.
During a presentation at CinemaCon, the Aquaman actor turned toward Will Arnett and was heard to say, “You’re the best BLEEP-ing Batman,” an honor you’d think reserved for his Justice League co-star in Ben Affleck.
Of course, he could’ve just said this because Arnett was in such close proximity to him, but Momoa is entitled to his own opinion if, in fact, that’s who his favorite Batman is. Who knows, maybe he really dug what he saw from the LEGO movies and enjoys a good laugh?
Speaking of Arnett, he’ll soon have his chance to branch out into the DC Universe, for he was recently confirmed as the voice of Slade Wilson AKA Deathstroke for the upcoming animated feature Teen Titans Go! To The Movies. If anything, he’s certainly got the bass in his throat for it.
Tell us, was Will Arnett also your favorite Batman? Or was it one of the others? Sound off in the usual place below!
