Tony Stark, Bruce Banner, Wong and Doctor Stephen Strange are all extraordinary individuals capable of great things, but together they are more – together, they are Marvel’s Science Bros.
That term quickly became the catch-all for Stark and Co. once Avengers: Infinity War began shooting, at which point it was revealed via set pics that the MCU’s magical foursome would be defending New York City from two members of the Black Order – namely Ebony Maw and Cull Obsidian.
What those set photos didn’t tell us, though, is that this scene in question is a lot funnier than initially expected, as Tony Stark trades insults with Ebony Maw, only to be embarrassed in front of Marvel’s wizards by an Incredible Hulk still reeling from his clash with Thanos.
Fast forward to now, and Benedict Wong has today shared a behind the scenes pic that was captured in and around the same window, as we see Benedict Cumberbatch, Mark Ruffalo and Wong all sharing a laugh – presumably while watching something related to Avengers: Infinity War back on the monitor.
This is just the tip of the iceberg, of course, because with Avengers: Infinity War expected to grace digital platforms on July 31st, before expanding to Blu-ray and DVD two weeks later, there will soon be a flood of featurettes and HD photos designed to bring you behind the curtain on what is undoubtedly Marvel’s biggest ever movie… so far.
The Powers That Be have already outlined the special features (two hours’ worth!) to be included on the film’s Blu-ray release. However, it seems talk of a Thanos-centric extended cut was a bridge too far.
