Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War is tentatively scheduled to commence production this November, but months before the cameras even begin rolling, we have this pretty cool little behind-the-scenes tease from the film’s directors, Joe and Anthony Russo.
The image, simply titled “Rehearsal,” was posted to the brothers’ official Facebook page, and gives us a glimpse of the duo as they work through a scene with actor Josh Brolin, who is suited-up in motion-capture gear for his role as the villain of the piece, Thanos. Fans have joked that the most this character has done in his 3 MCU appearances is sit down, and… well, here he’s taking a load off again. Threatening to search for Infinity Gems must me pretty tiring, in all fairness.
The Avengers will obviously reunite to take on Thanos in the movie, but aside from that, specific plot details remain under wraps for now. We do know that Earth’s Mightiest Heroes will be “at their lowest, at their worst” in the aftermath of Captain America: Civil War, so it’ll be very interesting to see how the (former) Sentinel of Liberty is going to go about putting the band back together.
Avengers: Infinity War is set for release on May 4, 2018, while its follow-up film (which is yet to be re-titled) will be with us on May 3, 2019.
