Rotten Tomatoes To Post Official Avengers: Infinity War Score Later Today

At 3pm PST, Rotten Tomatoes will officially unveil the Avengers: Infinity War score, with some claiming it'll land in the high 90s.

Now that the social media embargo has lifted (check out the first glowing reactions right here), all eyes are beginning to turn towards the official review embargo for Avengers: Infinity War.

It’s currently been set for 3pm PST, meaning the Infinity War reviews will begin cramming up the pipes of social media later today. And that’s not all. As reported by ComicBook.com, the Internet’s favorite movie aggregator, Rotten Tomatoes, has confirmed plans to unveil Infinity War‘s official Tomatometer score at the exact same time, meaning you won’t have to wait too long before you’re able to compare the sequel’s critical reception with that of previous MCU installments – or those belonging to the DC Extended Universe, if you so choose.

Another thing worth mentioning is the anti-Disney Facebook group, which aims to sabotage the Audience Scores for both Avengers: Infinity War and Solo: A Star Wars Story – similar to how The Last Jedi and Black Panther fell victim to online trolls some months ago.

To their credit, the folks over at Rotten Tomatoes have vowed to stamp out any hate speech directed at Avengers: Infinity War, though it remains to be seen whether the sequel’s Audience Score can be protected from this nonsensical trolling.

One thing that won’t be affected is the Infinity War Tomatometer, which collates all of the film’s reviews and calculates a final percentage depending on how many are rated ‘Fresh’, and how many are deemed ‘Rotten’. Black Panther is naturally the one to beat, given it’s still holding on to that impressive 96 percent, while The Avengers and Age of Ultron score 92 percent and 75 percent, respectively.

Avengers: Infinity War is expected to light up theaters across the globe on Friday, April 27th, while those across the pond can expect Joe and Anthony Russo’s Herculean blockbuster to arrive a little earlier – April 26th, to be specific, so be wary of encountering potential spoilers online. And remember, Thanos demands your silence.
