Avengers: Infinity War Set Photos Pit Iron Man Against Doctor Strange

Now that Avengers: Infinity War has hit the streets of Atlanta, we're finally getting to see something from the highly anticipated 2018 release. Granted, all we've got so far are set photos, but they've certainly been exciting and this latest batch feature a pretty good look at Iron Man's armour along with stars Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner), Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange) and Wong (Benedict Wong).

It’s hard to say for sure what’s going on here, but it appears as if things between Tony Stark and Stephen Strange will be getting tense, as the Armoured Avenger actually takes aim at the Sorcerer Supreme before being distracted by something. Or has he just come to his senses? We’re not sure, but you can take a look through the gallery below and see what you make of the scene being shot here.

Iron Man has clearly received some serious upgrades for Avengers: Infinity War and this armour seems to be a big leap forward compared to past iterations. Why him and Strange have potentially come to blows in the movie isn’t clear, but it may very well have something to do with the fact that the Sorcerer Supreme has an Infinity Stone hanging around his neck.

Those are, after all, what Thanos is likely coming to Earth to find, so Iron Man wanting to take it from Strange would make sense if he thinks that’ll help hold off the Mad Titan. It’s hard to say for sure, though, but with Comic-Con right around the corner now we’ll hopefully find out soon. Just don’t expect to get the first trailer for Avengers: Infinity War next month, as Marvel has already made clear that it probably won’t release until November, likely alongside Thor: Ragnarok. As always, watch this space for more.
