LEGO Batman was first released in 2006, which means that Michael Keaton never received his own LEGO adaptation. But thanks to the upcoming DC blockbuster The Flash, the late-1980s DC superhero will finally receive his own LEGO set.

The official LEGO website shared images for an upcoming exclusive called “The Batcave Shadowbox”. According to the set’s description, this set is in homage to the 1992 DC film, Batman Returns, the last Batman film that Keaton starred in. The set is said to have a handful of minifigures from the iconic film, as well as a batmobile and other moveable parts. The set also acts as a special display case since once it’s closed, the open Batman symbol acts as a window for the set.

Nothing on the LEGO website mentions The Flash. This means that this set is its own separate thing and will be based on the late ’80s Batman trilogy, not the upcoming blockbuster. If you want to get your hands on this set, it’s going to cost you around $399.99 and will be released on June 8, 2023.

Keaton will be reprising his role as Batman in the upcoming DC film, The Flash. The actor played the character from 1989 to 1992, and promos of the DC blockbuster showed that this Batman variant will have a huge role in the film. The Flash is scheduled to hit theaters on June 16, 2023.
