Jason Blum sent horror fans into a frenzy when he took to social media over the weekend to tease that very big news is coming very soon, and fans can’t wait to hear more about what the CEO of Blumhouse productions has on the horizon. If we had to guess, we’re assuming that the big news has something to do with a name starting with the letter F and everyone’s favorite cheesy dinner option.
With just five words, Blum was able to grab the attention of fans worldwide and craft a comments section full of hopes and wishes for the big announcement. “Very big news” is such a vague statement, but it didn’t stop Blumheads from trying to decipher what news might be soon made public in the horror realm.
Some fans are hoping for more Valak, specifically regarding its form as a nun, and yes, even though just thinking about Valek or The Nun is enough to send chills up our spines, we are still keeping our fingers crossed.
Blum dropping a nugget like this one and then signing off? It’s fine, everything is fine.
There were two more significant announcements that horror fans were hoping for in the comments section, and while they share a similar name, they’re very different characters. If you guessed Freddy, you’re right! Fans are hoping for a new installment with Freddy Krueger or a certain animatronic bear at a pizza joint.
Could we be looking towards a future with a new installment with the horror icon that haunts our dreams? This fan hopes the story and character we know and love to fear gets a new Blumhouse twist.
Without further ado, many fans shared hopes for news regarding the Five Nights at Freddy’s film, and with big names recently attached to the project, nothing would thrill us more than learning all we can about the project and maybe even getting a teaser of some sort.
Back in December, Matthew Lillard and Josh Hutchinson were tied to the project, and earlier this week, Kat Conner SterlingΒ and Elizabeth Lail were announced as upcoming stars in the project. Even though it has no release date slated just yet, fans do know that filming for FNAF has begun, with Lillard sharing a post on Instagram and marking his first day on the job a little over a month ago.
With each scroll, a slew of comments hoping for FNAF news appears, and if Blum’s big news isn’t regarding the movie, he’s going to want to share some kind of update for it soon.
All in all, no matter what Blum is teasing, fans are thrilled about it β Blumhouse is responsible for some of the most terrifying and slasher-iffic movies in the last two decades. From Paranormal Activity, The Purge, and The Gift to Hush, Ma, and M3gan β Blumhouse has its hands in crafting some of the most spine-tingling stories in the history of cinema.
Be it news regarding the highly anticipated film adaptation of FNAF or something equally stellar, we hope “very soon” is indeed very soon. It’s always spooky season where Blumhouse is concerned, and we can’t get enough.
