Oh, Keanu Reeves. People make fun of you, but I really do enjoy everything about you, including your inability to emote. Luckily, Mr. Reeves will not have to emote much in Bill & Ted 3 – he’ll just have to be lovely and lost and tubular. Gnarly, if you will.
Our own Ben Kenber spoke with Keanu Reeves not that long ago, and managed to get at least a little tid-bit out of him regarding the oft-rumored – and long-awaited, at least by me – finale of the Bill & Ted saga. Here’s what Reeves had to say:
I haven’t seen a full script for it yet, but it’s coming along. I’ve seen bits and pieces of a script and it looks good. That’s all I can say about it for now.
OK, admittedly not much to go on, but at least he did not outright deny that Bill & Ted 3 is happening. We’ll probably have to wait for more info when the script is actually completed, but at least he’s saying that it looks good. I for one am madly looking forward to the sequel, which comes after the now iconic time-traveling tales Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure and Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey.
Bill & Ted 3 will (hopefully) reunite our favorite slacker musicians (Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter) in yet another journey through time. Has their band Wyld Stallyns become successful? Does the fate of universe still rest on their dude-ly shoulders? These are questions that need answering, guys.
I am glad to know that Reeves is still game for the sequel. He certainly became the more successful actor of the two – but it seems that he might still harbor some affection for the movie that really made his name. My one source of sadness is that George Carlin is not around to guide our grown-up boys through whatever adventure fate has in store for them this time.
What do you think of Bill & Ted 3? Do our boys still have what it takes to make So-crates proud? Let us know in the comments.
