Bohemian Rhapsody Lights Up The Stage With Four Glorious New Photos

Stomp-stomp-clap! Fox has premiered four incredible new images for Bohemian Rhapsody, and they need to be seen to be believed.

Few actors would be capable of portraying Freddie Mercury on the big screen and fewer still would be able to convince the world that they are, in fact, Freddie Mercury. And yet, Rami Malek is on the verge of doing just that with Bohemian Rhapsody.

So much so, that today’s glorious new stills are the cinematic equivalent of stepping into a time machine, as we see Rami Malek’s Freddie Mercury up on stage playing in front of his adoring fans. It’s an incredible sight, and one that really needs to be seen to be believed.

Because while the casting of Malek drew some criticism when it was first announced (as these things tend to do), there’s no denying that the Mr. Robot actor looks the part as Queen’s legendary frontman. He’s pictured here alongside Gwilym Lee (guitarist Brian May) and the rest of the band. Which leaves us with just one question: Is it November 2nd yet?

If you’ve been keeping a close eye on Fox’s Freddy Mercury biopic, you’ll know that Bohemian Rhapsody has emerged from some trouble of its own, after production was brought to a screeching halt back in December when it was alleged that erstwhile director Bryan Singer (X-Men) had become unstable, lashing out at the cast and crew and generally losing control of his production.

In his place, Eddie the Eagle helmer Dexter Fletcher was quickly appointed to oversee the remainder of production, and ultimately helped usher Fox’s starry biopic over the finish line, thank the heavens.

Stomp-stomp-clap! Bohemian Rhapsody recounts the life and legacy of Freddy Mercury and his beloved Queen on November 2nd, and we can hardly wait.
