That’s My Boy Director Sean Anders Will Helm Horrible Bosses 2

Horrible Bosses was one of my favorite comedies of the year when it was released back in 2011 and to this day, I still re-visit it every so often, finding it just as funny as the first time I saw it. So you can imagine my excitement when Horrible Bosses 2 was announced, with the same cast and director attached as well. Things were looking pretty promising for the sequel too, but then Seth Gordon, who directed the first film, dropped out.

Now, according to THR, Warner Bros. is pulling in That’s My Boy director Sean Anders to fill the hole that Gordon left. Before you start to throw your arms up in protest though over the fact that Anders is in no position to do such a thing after having delivered one of the worst films, ever, with the aforementioned Adam Sandler project, there are a few things to keep in mind.

Anders recently penned We’re The Millers for Warner Bros., which starred Horrible Bosses‘ Jennifer Aniston and Jason Sudeikis, who seemed to have struck comedic gold again as that film did quite well for itself at the box office.

Furthermore, Anders has also directed Sex Drive and wrote the screenplays for films like Hot Tub Time Machine and the upcoming Dumb & Dumber To, so he does have some comedic talent in him.

So, with the original cast all returning, and the writers from the last film (John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein) on board again as well (though Anders is re-writing), I think that things are still looking up forĀ Horrible Bosses 2.

What do you think? Are you still excited for the sequel or does Anders’ involvement ruin it for you?
