Cars Rain From The Sky In Explosive New Set Video For F. Gary Gray’s Fast 8

Cars rain from the sky in the explosive new set video for Fast 8, Universal's action sequel that is due to land on April 14, 2017.

It’s Friday, and that can only mean another status report emerging from the set of F. Gary Gray’s blockbuster sequel, Fast 8.

From the crowded streets of Cuba to Arkanes, a remote and bitter-cold town on the coast of Iceland, Universal’s production has clocked up some mileage since cameras started rolling earlier this year, and the latest location to play host to the 2017 tentpole is Cleveland, Ohio.

In typical Fast and Furious fashion, the snippet above showcases Gray orchestrating an intricate sequence that involves a multi-storey car park and some good old-fashioned vehicular destruction. Plus, having starred in practically every installment in the series to date, the fact that Vin Diesel teases an action sequence “unlike anything we’ve ever seen” really drives the point home that, yes, Universal have no intention of taking the foot off the pedal anytime soon.

Among those returning to the fray for Fast 8 are Diesel, Dwayne Johnson and Charlize Theron as franchise newcomer and badass villain, Cipher. They’ll be joined by Michelle Rodriguez, Lucas Black – returning to the franchise for the first time since Tokyo Drift – Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Scott Eastwood, Kristofer Hivju, Nathalie Emmanuel and Kurt Russell as the mysterious Mr. Nobody.

Look for F. Gary Gray’s Fast 8 to drift into theaters on April 14, 2017. The fun doesn’t stop there, though, given Universal has already staked out release dates for Fast & Furious 9 (April 19, 2019) and Fast & Furious 10 (April 2, 2021).
