After shocking allegations leveled against Harvey Weinstein, Kevin Spacey, Ed Westwick, Dustin Hoffman and more all surfaced in recent weeks, Charlie Sheen has now come under fire, as the actor has been accused of raping a 13-year-old Corey Haim back in 1986 on the set of Lucas, a film they were making together.
According to The National Enquirer, Haim, who’s now deceased, told several people about the incident when it first happened and former actor Dominick Brascia recounts the story as such:
Haim told me he had sex with Sheen when they filmed Lucas. He told me they smoked pot and had sex. He said they had anal sex. Haim said after it happened Sheen became very cold and rejected him. When Corey wanted to fool around again, Charlie was not interested.
As mentioned above, Corey was only 13 at the time and Sheen was 19, and as an unnamed source told The National Enquirer, “Corey was so confused by the sexual encounter that he believed, like so many victims, that he was ‘in love’ with his abuser.” Several additional sources corroborated the story and mentioned that this wasn’t the only incident on the set of Lucas, as Sheen also tried to solicit sex from a 17-year-old woman.
The actor’s lawyers have since come out and denied the story about Corey and given that the statute of limitations for whatever might have happened back then already expired a long time ago, it’s unlikely that Charlie Sheen would face legal repercussions for any of this.
Still, these allegations are certainly troubling to hear and are only the latest in a long line of them. Even if nothing comes of this particular incident, we can only hope that all of these stories that are now starting to surface help to expose other sexual predators working within Hollywood.
