With a box office total of $2.78 billion and counting, Avengers: Endgame has clearly made a lot of money for Marvel Studios and Disney, and thanks to Forbes’ new Celebrity 100 earnings list, we can now see just how much each of the film’s biggest stars were paid for their work.
You might recall the finding from earlier this year that the Endgame actor with the most screen time was Chris Evans – who featured in the movie for a total of 1 hour and 6 minutes – followed by Robert Downey Jr. at 1 hour and 2 minutes, and Chris Hemsworth at 45 minutes. With those figures in mind, it may come as a surprise to learn that Hemsworth was paid more than any of his co-stars, taking in a total of $76.4 million.
In second place is Downey with $66.0 million, and in third, strangely enough, is Bradley Cooper, whose voice work as Rocket earned him $57.0 million. After that, we have Scarlett Johansson with $56.0 million, before we finally get to Evans, who earned $43.5 million for Steve Rogers’ presumed swan song. Lastly, for his turn as Ant-Man, Paul Rudd was paid $41.0 million.
With the possible exceptions of Downey and Evans, we can expect all of the aforementioned stars to return in Marvel’s Phase 4, starting with Johansson in the long-awaited Black Widow solo flick. Hemsworth, for instance, might well have another Thor movie in his future, though if the final minutes of Avengers: Endgame are anything to go by, then we’ll probably see the God of Thunder first in the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
Meanwhile, though Ant-Man 3 has yet to be officially confirmed, it feels safe to assume that Marvel will find a way of fitting Rudd into their next set of films. And speaking of which, get ready for some major MCU announcements at next weekend’s San Diego Comic-Con.
