It’s Christian Bale Versus Woody Harrelson In New Out Of The Furnace Trailer

Woody Harrelson has one of the most menacing stares of all time. If you don't believe me, there are two things you can do. Either watch any of his previous roles where he glares holes through people, or just watch the new preview for Out Of The Furnace, where Harrelson tightens his jaws, furrows his brow, and stares his way through everyone in one of the best trailers of the year.

Woody Harrelson has one of the most menacing stares of all time. If you don’t believe me, there are two things you can do. Either watch any of his previous roles where he glares holes through people, or just watch the new preview for Out Of The Furnace, where Harrelson tightens his jaws, furrows his brow, and stares his way through everyone in one of the best trailers of the year.

This film is one that a lot of people are excited for, and judging by the footage seen below, that excitement is definitely warranted. It gives us a pretty good look at Casey Affleck, but the focus is really on Harrelson and Christian Bale.

Harrelson appears to be doing some great work here as a backwoods criminal, capable of inducing fear through his crazed furor. As for Bale, his shots are just as powerful and gripping. Very rarely does the actor disappoint and watching him track down Harrelson should be a treat.

For those who don’t know, Scott Cooper’s film is set in Braddock, Pennsylvania and revolves around Russell (Bale) and his younger brother Rodney (Affleck), who have always dreamed of finding better lives despite the fact they live in the depressed Rust Belt. A twist of fate lands Russell in prison, and Rodney is sucked into one of the most violent and ruthless crime rings in the Northeast (led by Harrelson). Once he is released from prison, Russell must choose between the safety of his freedom or risking it all to seek justice for his brother.

The cast also includes Forest Whitaker, Zoe Saldana, Willem Dafoe and Sam Shepard. Out Of The Furnace opens in select theaters on November 27th before a wider release on December 6th.
