There are very few people in Hollywood right now who use IMAX like director Christopher Nolan does. He pushes the format past its boundaries and continues to amaze us with what he can accomplish with it. Nolan’s next film, Interstellar, will of course be shot in IMAX as well and it seems that once again he hopes to give us a jaw-dropping experience.
As seen in the photos below, the director has strapped an IMAX camera to a Learjet to capture photography for the film. Obviously, we have no idea what he’s up to as Interstellar is completely shrouded in secrecy, but you can be sure that the final product will be something pretty spectacular.
Starring Matthew McConaughey, Jessica Chastain, Anne Hathaway and many more A-list stars, the film will follow “a group of explorers who make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage.” Try wrapping your head around that one!
Interstellar will release on November 7th, 2014. So you’re going to have to wait for about a year to see just why the hell Nolan has IMAX cameras strapped to a jet. In the meantime, feel free to speculate in the comments section below.
