In a new interview, Hammer Film Productions CEO Simon Oakes wouldn’t deny the possibility of a role for Daniel Radcliffe in the recently announced sequel to The Woman in Black. The interview itself can be read in its entirety here, and while it doesn’t include an exact quote from Oakes on Radcliffe, it does say that he “went as far as saying Radcliffe ‘might’ appear.”
The synopsis for the sequel, entitled The Woman in Black: Angels of Death, was just released, revealing a plot that takes place in the future and therefore leading to speculation that Radcliffe wouldn’t appear in the film. Oakes really doesn’t say much in the interview about whether or not this is true, but his lack of denial makes one wonder.
The Woman in Black had a few flashbacks and descriptions of scenes that certainly could’ve provided for flashbacks, so I don’t think it would be impossible for a sequel to include footage from any time period, including that of the first film. Certainly, this gives Daniel Radcliffe an opportunity to make an appearance. And with this Oakes interview in mind, the notion doesn’t sound unlikely.
What do you think? Would you like to see Daniel Radcliffe in The Woman in Black: Angels of Death?
