5) The R Rating Will Be Put To Good Use
Something else absent from the green band trailer are the shots of bare bums in a strip club, and Wade and Vanessa getting it on. Given their usual target audience, superhero movies and sex scenes/nudity do not tend to go together – so when a rare R-rated comic book flick like Watchmen or Kick-Ass comes along, they usually take full advantage.
Deadpool, it seems, is no exception.
6) Homage Is Paid To The Test Footage
This funny shot from the bridge and the ones following it with Wilson laying waste to a gang of goons are all from the leaked test footage, recreated here in live action. Had that footage not found its way online, this movie may never have happened, as the massive fan support forced the studio to pay attention and they threw everything behind the project.
Ryan Reynolds got his wish and will suit up again (well, technically for the first time) as Deadpool – though after the rotten luck he’s had with comic book movies up to now, he’s actually sworn this will be his last time playing a superhero!
Don’t worry, we’re sure Deadpool 2 doesn’t count.
