Much like Guardians of the Galaxy and Ant-Man before it, Doctor Strange has been shackled with big expectations in the build up to its theatrical release for the simple reason that Marvel’s Sorcerer Supreme isn’t what one would call a household name. Not yet, at least.
That all changes on November 4, for better or worse, and as Scott Derrickson’s feature is being readied for its debut in the UK on October 25, the first wave of Twitter reviews have now found their way online. Official reviews remain under embargo at the time of writing, but these knee-jerk reactions still give us a good indication of the general consensus coming out of those early junkets and press screenings. Rest assured, you won’t find any spoiler-sensitive material included in the Tweets below, but if you really are under media blackout until Doctor Strange graces theaters, bookmark this page for a later date.
Still with us? Below you’ll find a sample from the overly positive Twitter outpouring. At least based on these reactions, Doctor Strange may not go down as the greatest entry in the MCU, but it looks set to be a visually spectacular ride nonetheless.
DOCTOR STRANGE is unlike any previous Marvel movie and that’s why I love Marvel. They keep pushing boundaries and make it look easy.

DOCTOR STRANGE has two after the credits scenes like most Marvel movies. They both set up future things…trying to stay spoiler free.

The action in #DoctorStrange is some of the craziest, most enjoyable yet. Definitely adds a new color to Marvel’s ever-expanding crayon box.

Doctor Strange’s action set pieces make an MC Escher paintings look tame. Some really great, clever, incentive stuff. Worth the 3D ticket.

DOCTOR STRANGE magic makes HARRY POTTER’s look like parlour tricks. Dark & spooky psychedelic horrors, abracadabra wowie zowie. Loved it

Also starring Chiwetel Ejiofor, Tilda Swinton, Rachel McAdams, Benedict Wong, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Scott Adkins, look for Doctor Strange to land on these shores on November 4.
