Exclusive Video Interview With Christian Bale, Woody Harrelson And Scott Cooper On Out Of The Furnace

What does an actor do once he finishes up with the most iconic role of his career? Most would take a well deserved break, but not Christian Bale. He's doing quite the opposite actually, filling his plate with a handful of interesting projects. In 2013 alone he has two films coming out that both have the potential to be heavy-hitters come awards season. First up is Out of the Furnace, Scott Cooper's highly anticipated follow-up to his 2009 directorial debut Crazy Heart.

What does an actor do once he finishes up with the most iconic role of his career? Most would take a well deserved break, but not Christian Bale. He’s doing quite the opposite actually, filling his plate with a handful of interesting projects. In 2013 alone he has two films releasing that both have the potential to be heavy-hitters come awards season. First up is Out of the Furnace, Scott Cooper’s highly anticipated follow-up to his 2009 directorial debut Crazy Heart.

Leading a cast that also includes Woody Harrelson, Casey Affleck, Zoe Saldana and Forest Whitaker, Bale steps into the shoes of Russell Blaze, a hard-working everyman living in the economically depressed town of Braddock, Pennsylvania. When his brother Rodney (Affleck) gets mixed up with the boss of a ruthless crime ring (Harrelson), Russell must risk everything to save him.

A few weeks ago Cooper and his cast came to LA for theĀ Out of the FurnaceĀ press junket. We were lucky enough to be in attendance and while there, we had the opportunity to sit down with Bale, Harrelson and Cooper to discuss their new film. From why Bale chose this particular movie for his Dark Knight follow up to how Harrelson brought out the menace in his character and why Cooper opens the film in an unconventional way, we cover it all in this exclusive video interview.

Check it out below and then head to the comments and let us know if you’re looking forward to Out of the Furnace.
