Marvel Fans Still Demanding Deadpool And Wolverine Team-Up Movie

It’s been over 21 months now since Logan arrived in theaters, and in all that time, Hugh Jackman has never offered any indication that he intends to reprise his most famous role. Nonetheless, Ryan Reynolds is persistent in his tongue-in-cheek attempts at making a Deadpool and Wolverine crossover happen, and the fans are right there with him in their enthusiasm.

The latest chapter in the ongoing troll war between Reynolds and Jackman started when the latter tweeted a photo of an old Logan poster spotted in Mumbai. Naturally, the star of Once Upon a Deadpool couldn’t turn down the opportunity to remind Jackman that the door is still open for further X-Men films, responding with the following message:

“It’d be cool if they made a new poster. For a new movie.”

From here, the fans chimed in with their calls for Jackman to reunite with his X-Men Origins: Wolverine co-star, with some Twitter users even going as far as to suggest what this “new poster” might look like:

Despite Jackman’s recent claim that the world doesn’t want to see Wade Wilson with Logan, the fans continue to make it all too clear that the demand is out there. And while Reynolds remains the loudest and most persistent voice in promoting the idea, he isn’t the only famous figure to support a crossover, with Deadpool co-creator Rob Liefeld posting an open letter to Jackman last month explaining why the team-up needs to happen and even citing a few comics that could be adapted.

Nonetheless, the next time we see Wolverine on our screens, he’ll most likely be played by a different actor and working under the Disney banner, and from the sound of things, Jackman himself would be all too happy to get replaced.
