Filming On Halloween Delayed Until January

Aside from the fact that we haven't seen Michael Myers on the big screen since 2009, there seem to be a multitude of reasons why we're greatly looking forward to the next Halloween movie. Granted, we could talk about this all day, but a few of them are how it'll ignore everything but the events of the original film, and how it'll be set in an alternate universe of sorts, somewhat changing the ending of John Carpenter's eternal classic.

But, as is the reality with many movies that are this highly anticipated, minor bumps in the road are to be expected. In this case, it’s in regard to principal photography.

You see, according to horror authority Bloody Disgusting, several sources have informed them that shooting – which was supposed to commence in October – has now been delayed until January. To be honest, there’s probably not much reason to fret because this picture has been otherwise coming together quickly and smoothly, but the outlet gathers that rounding out the cast may have something to do with the delay.

To this point, the only major casting news we’ve heard is that Jamie Lee Curtis will be returning as Laurie Strode and, subsequently, that Judie Greer is playing her daughter, Karen. In fact, a casting call being circulated by The Island Packet pretty much corroborates the notion.

Still, we fully expect for the Halloween sequel to meet its targeted release date of October 19, 2018. After all, post-production on something like this shouldn’t take forever – unless, of course, Michael Myers ends up inflating to Kaiju-like proportions, thus requiring a good amount of CGI. Suffice it to say, we doubt that’ll happen.
