The lead-up to the long-awaited first trailer for Avengers 4 has been a rollercoaster ride of repeated build-ups and letdowns, and after so many instances of false hope, fans couldn’t be blamed for feeling distrustful of any fresh predictions of when this footage is likely to drop.
Nonetheless, Twitter user @DanielRPK has an impressive track record when it comes to such reports, so when he says that the teaser will finally be arriving Friday morning, there’s a good chance that it’s actually true, with the leaker’s announcement reading as follows:
“First trailer for Avengers 4 will drop this Friday morning. And yes this is final.”
If we said that this looks like the real deal, would you even believe us? Because this genuinely does look like the real deal.
Either way, it’ll be a relief when the trailer finally drops if for no other reason than the period of uncertainty and speculation it will bring to an end. You may recall how just a few weeks ago, the internet seemed so sure that we’d be seeing some footage before the end of November. Of course, the month came and went without so much as a premiere date announced, but the rumor mill then shifted its attention to Monday, December 3rd. When it turned out that the new Captain Marvel trailer was dropping yesterday instead, the prediction then moved to tomorrow, before subsequent reports emerged with the claim that the release had been delayed.
Needless to say, the Marvel fanbase is no stranger to disappointment, but it certainly looks like the first Avengers 4 footage is just around the corner. Perhaps we’re only building ourselves up for another letdown, but to look at things through the eyes of an optimist, if all we’re hearing right now is true, then we’re in for a pretty huge week, with the first Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer also said to be coming out this Saturday.
